In March, I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot my highschool Aerospace & maths teacher Mr. Christopher Clarke.
By opportunity, i mean i asked him for his help and he obliged.
Going into this shoot, I hadn’t had much experience shooting families. My experience was mainly in candids of random people at events, & shooting sibling photos through the school photography company I work with part time.
On my way to the location, i had 2 mates lined up to help on the shoot, i called both to double check they were on their way… both cancelled last minute. So good start to an already stressful day.
I got to the location and waited for them to arrive. Funny story I didn’t know prior, they drive the exact same car as i do - MAZDA GANG GANG.
Meeting Clarkie’s family for the first was definitely nerve racking, but, they were a lovely bunch. It was mainly first meeting his kids as i hadn’t worked with kids under Prep age.
After shifting around and grabbing different shots, hear a few of my favourite from the shoot.
Hands down, my favourite photos are of the girls trying to grab the bubbles.
All in all, I had a lot of fun, and surprised the Clarkes with how quick the shoot was.
Upon delivery, Clarkie was over the moon with the photos, which also made me happy.
